Hyundai Repair: 1999 elantra GL overdrive, radio, & manual, rear doors, garage fire

Question
Wow thanks.  I think it was a salvage.  I'm not sure.  It is some "regenerated" title though and the exterior as I mentioned showed damage from what appears to be a fire outside the car:
- the paint on top of the roof and hood is affected/faded,
- the rear light covers are "wavy"
- the rear bumper has a funny surface
- the cloth ceiling only towards the back is separated, bubbly, and wavy,
- the exterior plastic at the top of the supports between the front & rear doors on both sides of the car is bubbly.

On the VIN, here it is.  Is this VIN ok though to put on the web?  How can you find info on a VIN?

Muchas Gracias!

-----Question-----
Hi.  I bought a 99 elantra and it has a very good engine.

1. However the overdrive in the automatic transmission doesn't seem to work.  It seems to go into neutral after 40 mph, so I keep the OD off when driving.  There isn't any "check engine" light on, so I don't think any computer codes are being stored on this.

2.  It didn't come with an owner's manual.  Any chance of getting a PDF (or other document) of one?

3.  It also didn't come with a radio.  Is there any way of checking the wires sticking out to see if everything else works before buying another radio?

4.  Also, the title was regenerated from a "salvage".  Apparently the car was a victim of a garage fire, exterior (mostly paint and some plastic) was affected and the car was "totaled" by insurance.  Although it's back on the road, is the 100,000 mile warrantee still valid?  It only has 70,000 miles.  Is there any way of checking on the past maintenance and repair history of the vehicle?

THANKS!!!
-----Answer-----
1.  You've either got a defective end clutch, or a deeper issue in the transmission.  Replacing the end clutch isn't too big a job, but overhauling or replacing the transmission may cost more than the vehicle is worth.

2.  Your vehicle is old enough that you may not be able to get an owner's manual anymore.  You can check www.hyundaiusa.com to see what information is available there.  I know that they have at least maintenance information available there in the "owners" section.  It's been changed to log-in only, and since I don't own a Hyundai, I cannot see these pages.

3.  You can see the schematics for the audio system (and the rest of the vehicle) at www.hmaservice.com.  You'll need to register for a free account, and the site requires Internet Explorer.  You'll probably also need Adobe SVG Viewer (free download) to view the schematics.

4.  In general, once the vehicle has been salvaged, all warranties are void.  In addition, the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty applied only to the powertrain, and only to the original owner.  Without receipts from previous owners, it'll be nearly impossible to get a complete maintenance and repair history.  If you're willing to provide me with the VIN, I can see what warranty repairs were done.

Answer
I doubt there's any problem with the VIN being on the web.  But since I consider it part of your personal information, I also want to make sure I have your permission and understanding before I do anything with it.

I'm retrieving information from Hyundai.  I can do that because I work at a dealer and we can access Hyundai's database.  The only warranty work done to the vehicle was the replacement of the front exhaust manifold and converter under recall in 2005.  Hyundai also lists the car as: "Class VIII - Vehicle rebuilt - Not warrantable 5/2001."
