Hyundai Repair: charging system..., slow blow fuse, fuse boxes

Question
I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent.  It has been sitting idle for about a month. I went to start it and had to jump start it as there was no electrical activity...lights, radio, headlights. It started up and ran for a while and then died needing another jump.  I have charged the battery and now the car will start, but the headlights will not come on, the radio does not work and the dome light also does not come on even with the car running!!! After about a half hour the car dies again, I'm assuming to to the draw on the battery. Any suggestions of where to start would be appreciated.

Answer
It sounds like the main slow blow fuse has blown.  Check your main 100A slow blow fuse in the underhood fuse box, as well as all the fuses in the interior and underhood fuse boxes, paying special attention to the room lamp fuse in the underhood fuse box.  There's a good chance that it's blown as well.

The problem you describe typically occurs when a battery is attached with reverse polarity.
