Hyundai Repair: 2004 Hyundai Accent Brake Problem, caliper piston, hyundai accent

Question
I was alerted to a problem with my front brakes suddenly by the sound of metal against metal. When I checked the front left wheel I found the brake pads completely gone and the rotor gouged. The caliper piston was fully extended. I replaced the rotor, the caliper, and the pads. I also changed the pads on the right side which showed normal wear. Now, I can hear the soft grinding when I turn to the left. It sounds like the pads are rubbing the rotor. Can anyone tell me why the right side is grabbing like that? I'd appreciate anyone's help.

Answer
Depending on the pads you purchased, you may hear the pad rubbing on the rusted portion of the rotor.  It's also possible that you bent the backing plate and it's rubbing the rotor when you turn.

When you say the right side is grabbing, I presume you're talking about the noise when turning.  If you're talking about an actual issue with the braking of the car, please follow-up.
