Hyundai Repair: 2000 elantra manual trans with no 3rd or 4th gear, transmission case, elantra

my tranny wont shift into 3rd or 4th and is beginning to lose 2nd gear is this hydrolic or mechanical?

Since you have a manual transmission, your problem is mechanical in nature.  Since it involves 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, I'd suspect it's probably inside the transmission.  But to be safe, you should probably check to be sure the shifter cables are properly attached to the transmission case.  Although I've never seen it, it makes sense that you could have this issue if the attaching bolts are loose.
