Hyundai Repair: head lamps on 2000 hundai sonata, hundai sonata, low beams

Question
have 2000 hundai sonata 2.4 l 4 cyl.  the passenger side low beam does not work. all fuses labled lp lo are good. swapped relay for low beam ( lp lo ) still no light.  no power to connection to lamp.  where can i look next??

Answer
Before we get too far into this, I want to make sure you're checking the correct bulb.  I've heard of several people checking the high beam bulb/connector instead of the low beam bulb.  On your car, the low beam bulb is the upper bulb.

Both low beams are powered by the same relay and fuse, so the fact that the driver's lamp works eliminates everything except the power wire from the fuse box, a section of the ground wire, and the items inside the passenger headlamp assembly.

Check for power at the connector to the headlamp assembly.  The wire in question is the yellow wire on pin 3.  Also check for ground.  That'll be the black wire on pin 6.  If those are both okay, the problem is in the headlamp itself.  If not, then you'll need to check the wire which your tests identified had the problem.
