Hyundai Repair: Sensor reset, hyundai dealer, exhaust shop

Question
My check engine sensor had come on because I needed service to my exhaust system (it had sounded like a motorcycle). I went to an exhaust shop rather than a Hyundai dealer and they did a great job, but my sensor light is still on. Should that reset on it's on or is there another way to reset it?

Answer
If the exhaust was the cause of the lamp, it should eventually turn out on its own.

Better, however, would be to disconnect the battery for about five seconds.  This will clear your computer's memory of the trouble code information.  If the problem was repaired, the lamp should stay out.  If it comes back on, you'll need to have the code read and reinvestigate the issue.
