How do I bleed down the power steering pump?


Answer
The Hyundai power steering systems bleed fairly easily and quickly.  Fill the reservoir and start the vehicle.  Then add fluid until the fluid reaches the full mark.  With the vehicle still running, turn the steering wheel lock to lock several times and again add fluid to reach the full mark.  Normally, a few minutes of running after doing this will bleed the bubbles from the system.  Use Dexron automatic transmission fluid in the power steering system for best results.
