Hyundai Repair: Temperature gauge shows overheating, leaking radiator, hyundai tiburon

Question
Hi, My temperature gauge inside my car shows it is almost overheating but the car has enugh coolant, not leaking anywhere (no hoses leaking, radiator not leaking) it's driving great, picking up gears just fine. However when I turn off the car the radiator fans stay on for about 5 sec. It never did that the 5 years I have had it, it eventually clicks off.  The check engine light is not on either. Just not sure whats wrong with it.  It's a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0 automatic.

Answer
It's possible your thermostat is stuck shut.  If you can, you should check to see that when the cooling fans cycle (with the a/c off), you have coolant flowing in the radiator.  To do this, remove the radiator cap with the car cold; start the car, and let it warm up.  When the radiator fan first runs, coolant should be flowing in the radiator.  If it isn't, you should expect that the thermostat is stuck.
