Hyundai Repair: 2003 hyundai elantra clutches, clutch master cylinder, 2003 hyundai elantra

Question
I have an 03 elantra and the clutch has dropped three times I was wondering if it is my fault or if it is the dealerships fault, I was wondering if they could have put something in the wrong way, and how would I fix it? how would you fix a clutch that is put in the wrong way?

Answer
It's hard to say where the fault lies without examining the vehicle.

The only way I can think of that installing a clutch improperly can cause a failure is to install the disc backward.  This will typically cause a vibration sensation on deceleration, so I'd think you'd have noticed if that were the case when the vehicle was returned to you.

It's also possible that the clutch master cylinder pushrod isn't adjusted properly or that the master cylinder doesn't release the fluid pressure properly, resulting in the clutch staying partially disengaged when your foot is off the pedal.

And, it's also possible there's something in your driving habits or style that's causing the clutch to wear quickly.

My only recommendation is to find a repair shop you trust to advise you on the matter.  They'll be able to assess best by inspecting the clutch disc and pressure plate as well as the items I mentioned above.
