-----Question-----
I own a 2005 Hyundai XG350 and for some reason the chirp stopped working when the lock was pressed twice on the keyless entry.(it has worked in the past) Do I need to reprogram it, and if so, how is it done?
-----Answer-----
If your locks activate properly, there's no reprogramming needed.

Do your lamps flash when you lock the vehicle with the remote?

Answer
If the lamps don't flash when locking with the remote, the system isn't armed.  Most frequently, this is caused by the hood switch, but could also occur if one of the door switches is bad.

To check whether it's your hood switch, locate the hood switch bolted to the inside of the passenger fender under the hood.  Unplug the switch and shut all doors.  If the lamps now flash when locking with the remote, then your problem is with the hood switch or its adjustment.

I don't recall ever hearing a siren answerback on the XG, and I haven't needed to do much checking into that feature.  I tried this on an '04 XG, and received the lamp flash answerback, but never received a siren (chirp) answerback no matter how many times I depressed the lock button.  I verified that the siren actually works, so I assume the siren answerback is not a feature of the XG, or it was changed between the '02 and '04 model years.  In any event, you're in a better position to know how your car was reacting previously than I am.
