Hyundai Repair: no spark from coil, camshaft timing, optical sensors

Question
I have a 1992 hyundai excel and I changed out the coil, the ignition control module and distributor cap and rotor and still have no spark.  Can you tell me if the problem could be the timing belt or the ECM unit?  Anything will help, as I am out of options.

Answer
The problem could be the timing belt or ECM as you suggest, but could also be the optical sensors in the distributor.

Turn the key to the "on" position.  Does the check engine lamp illuminate for about five seconds.  If so, you know the ECM is at least powering up.

Remove the upper timing belt cover and check the camshaft timing.

If both the above are okay, you should primarily suspect the sensors in the distributor.  If they're defective, you'll need to replace the distributor.
