Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Check Engine code P0705, range switch, transmission range

Question
I had the code read on my 02 Sonota. It was P0705. Is this serious or just a replacement of sensor issue? Thanks,

Joe

Answer
In most cases, this is an issue with the transmission range switch.  Unplug it and verify there's no corrosion in the terminals of the connector.  If not, you have at least a 95% chance of repairing the problem by replacing the range switch (and properly adjusting the new switch).
