-----Question-----
Twice in a week the car has failed to start.  There is no power getting to the starter when the key is turned.  I disconnect/reconnect the battery, turn off the factory alarm and the vehicle starts right up.  Apparently the problem lies within the alarm system.  Is there a fuse I can pull because I really don't use/need the alarm system?
-----Answer-----
The factory alarm is integrated into the electronic time and alarm control unit, so there's no way to remove it.  Based on your description, I might suspect a poor connection at the battery.  The answers to the following may help ascertain whether it's an alarm issue.

Is the alarm siren sounding when the vehicle won't start?
Does the alarm arm/disarm normally prior to disconnecting the battery, i.e. do the turn signals flash and the locks lock/unlock when you arm/disarm?
Does the alarm siren sound when you reconnect the battery?

Answer
Normally, the factory alarm doesn't sound when the battery is reconnected.  If this is a factory alarm, you may need to have it diagnosed.

I've never seen a factory alarm have a problem like what you describe, however.  I suspect that you may have an aftermarket alarm on the vehicle causing your problem.

In any event, your answers lend credence to the idea that the issue is with the alarm.
