Hyundai Repair: 01 - xg300, fuse box, input sensor

Question
A code indicated I needed a input speed sensor and a EGR valve for this car I've found the EGR valve. We found the output speed sensor but for the life of me I can't find the location of the input sensor. And should I find it is it a job I can complete myself without much experience working on newer cars and just a basic tool set.  P.S the car has over 100,000 mile ready to try working on it myself.

Answer
The input speed sensor is a rather simple repair.

You'll need to remove the air box (three 10mm bolts and a clamp).  One of the bolts is under the fuse box.  If it's still there, you'll probably need to remove the battery to access it.

The sensor is located about halfway underneath the bracket holding the shift cable onto the top of the transmission.  It's very similar in appearance to the output speed sensor.

Remove the two 12mm bolts holding the bracket in place and push the cable to the side.  Clean the area and remove the 10mm bolt holding the input speed sensor in place.  Pull the sensor out, unplug it, and install the new sensor and reattach the connector.
