Hyundai Repair: Windshield Washer Pump, windshield washer pump, hyundai accent

2001 Hyundai Accent.  My windshield washer pump stoped working when I ran out of fluid.  Is this common?  Where is it located so I can check it?

Hi, Jim.  I figure you've already done this, but since you didn't mention it, I'll say that the first step is to make sure you have a sufficient amount of washer fluid in the reservoir for the pump to be able to dispense.

The washer pump is in the bottom of the reservoir.  If you remove the two screws or clips holding the front of the fender liner in place, you can pull it down and reach your arm in to access the pump.  I've seen several pump issues with cars that have front and rear washers.
