Hyundai Repair: Purge valve emissions or powertrain component???, bumper to bumper warranty, powertrain warranty

I was wondering if you could tell me if the purge valve is considered an engine component or a Federeal emissions component?  I have an '03 Sante Fe and they are telling me that the purge valve is not covered under the 60,000 mile bumper to bumper.

Answer
The purge control valve is covered by the 5 year/60k bumper to bumper warranty but not the 10 year/100k powertrain warranty.  

The federally mandated emissions warranty for this component is 2 years/24k miles, but since that's shorter than the bumper to bumper coverage, it's irrelevant.
