Hyundai Repair: Rotor 2 retainer screws cant come out, hundai elantra, phillips screws

Question
Hi i am removing the rotors for a hundai elantra 04 GT i have found out that it is very difficult to remove the (2) phillips screws that hold the rotor in place. its not corroded please can someone help also does the caliper mount have to be reomoved in order to remove the rotor ? thanks for your help.

Answer
You'll probably need an impact driver to remove the screws.  It's a spring loaded handle with screwdriver bits that install in the end.  Striking the handle with a hammer applies inward pressure while turning the end of the driver.  You should be able to find one of these at your local Sears.

You will need to remove the caliper mount to remove the rotor.
