Hyundai Repair: STARTEING PROBLEM, plug holes, water intrusion

Question
MY HUSBAND WASHED OUR MOTER 5 DAYS AGO KNOW OUR CAR IS HAVING STARTING PROBLEMS WE HAVE A 99 HYUNDIA ELANTRA OH IT WON'T START AT ALL.

Answer
The most frequent water intrusion problem after engine washing is in the spark plug holes.  You should probably remove the wires and dry out the plug holes well.  Inspect the wires for corrosion or anything that might cause arcing.  If there's anything that cannot be cleaned off, replace the wires.  Also check the igntion coils for arcing.  I've seen water cause coil arcing to the point of coil damage.  Once the spark plug holes are dry, remove the spark plugs and check them for corrosion or carbon tracking as well.  Again, if there's anything similar that cannot be cleaned off, replace the spark plugs.
