Hyundai Repair: alarm, hyundai sonata, alarm remotes

Hi i have a hyundai sonata 05 and both of the alarm remotes dont work now and won't reset the alarm and turn it off. The alarm went off when I opened the door with the keys and the alarm sounded but now nothing works, other than the radio and windows and stuff.Can you help? Is there a reset swith or something? Thanks Gerry

Here's the procedure to disarm the alarm, Gerry:

1.  Enter your car.  The alarm will be sounding.
2.  Put the key in the ignition, turn to the "start" position, and release.  It should now be in the "on" position.
3.  Wait 30 seconds and start the car.  You've got a little bit of a window, so counting usually works fine.  But don't think that it's okay to start the car when the alarm stops.  You *must* wait the 30 seconds.
4.  I've needed to make several attempts on some cars.  If you car didn't start in step 3, go back to step 2 and try again.
