Hyundai Repair: clicking noise, rear brakes, 2006 elantra

Question
My 2006 Elantra just started making a clicking noise that sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger wheel. It only clicks when it has been driven about 20 miles or so, and only when you apply the brakes. What do you think might be making this clicking noise?

Answer
Usually it is caused by brake dust. We usually reccomend that the rear brakes be inspected, cleaned and adjusted every 7500 miles. Depending on your mileage the dealer MAY do this free of charge but usually it is a maintanance issue. If the clean and adjust dosen't work then in some cases I have cured the problem by replacing the offending brake drum. If that is the case it should be covered under warranty. That is unless your car has over 60000 miles.
Good Luck, hope this helps
