Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Excel Wont Start, accent 4, clutch pedal

I have a 1995 Accent, 4 cyl, manual trans, AC and it will not start whenignition key is turned to start.  I have power to the lights.  When the key is turned to start there is nothing, power is still there.  I can put the car in first gear and push start it and it will then run fine.  But as soon as I turn it off, the only way to get it started again is to push start it.  Please advise, thanks!

THis may sound like a rude question but I need to ask. Are you stepping on the Clutch pedal when you try to start the car? If not that is the problem. If you are the clutch switch may be bad. Could also be a bad starter or ignition switch. get back to me on the clutch question and we can start there.
