Question -
I am trying to fix my back brake light on a 2002 Hyundai Elantra and I took off all the nuts/screws and tried to turn the light socket clockwise, but nothing loosens in order for the fixture to fall away from the body....any advice?

Answer -
Yes, try Counter Clockwise

Answer
The socket may be melted or otherwise damaged preventing it from coming out of the housing.
You might try prying on thr socket away from the housing while turning the socket. If that doesn't work you may have to break the socket to remove it. The extention harness with the sockets can be purchased at a Hyundai dealer to repait it if that ends up being the case.
Hope this helps
