Hyundai Repair: Battery drain, hyundai elantra, 2000 hyundai elantra

Question
Robert;

    I recently purchased a 2000 Hyundai Elantra s/w from my work place. The alternator was replaced in February of this year, and I just replaced it and the battery again. I have a drain on the battery when it is "not" running, and it will kill the battery within 24 hours.
    Everything on the car works as far as I can tell. The only odd things I have noticed, are that the radio comes on by itself at odd times when the ignition is "on", and the led clock in the instrument cluster goes out when you push the cigarette lighter in. I disconnected the alarm system completely, but that did not make a difference. Also...I disconnected the wire at the battery hot post, that goes to the 100amp fuse in the underhood fuse box while I was on vacation for two weeks. The battery did not go down, so I assume that the short was not in the starter circuit.
    I have tried to check for a draw on the battery, but can't find any instructions on "where" to connect a voltmeter to monitor the draw, as I disconnect various systems.
    I would appreciate any input that you could offer.
                              Thanks, Mick

Answer
You do a draw test easy,, lose the volt meter use a test light....but the light on the battery negative cable in between the battery an terminal an then start pulling fuses an when the light go's out see what is in that fuse an then start unplugging those things an when the light go's out on that you have the problem hope this helps.
