Is replacing a valve body on a car bad?

what happens if it has been bad for 1 1/2 years?

2003 saturn ion - 27000 - a saturn engineer looked at the car and said thats ehat was causing the problem.  my car has been surging upon taking off from stop lights and stop signs.  my car hass been in for this problem 10 times.

the car is under warr.  for fed imission law 7 yrs 70.000 miles . this overides factory warr. this is fed  look in your owners man you will find it. should not cost you anything. also if you had this in 10 times for this . at a saturn dealer. you could lemon law it. hope this helps you
