Hyundai Repair: 2000 hyudai elantra: fuel pump, brake lights, cruise control, fuel pump relay, fuel pump

Question
First, my cruise control and brake lights quit working.  When I step on the brake pedal, the front and rear park lights come on.  After several days, I got another problem.  The engine turns over, but won't start.  I tested the battery and replaced the fuel filter, no luck.  My car sat for two weeks.  I took out the back seat, turned the key on, felt the fuel pump activate (with my hand) and the engine started.  I drove the car for two days with no problem.  Then, the same problem 0curred again.  I replaced what I think is the fuel pump relay (behind the dash in a two-relay panel), then I replaced the fuel pump and strainer.  When I turn the key on, and when I turn the engine over, I still get no sound or vibration from the fuel pump.  My car has no fuel pump check connector like it's supposed to.  My next guess is that it's a bad ground or loose connection, but I don't understand wiring diagrams or test equipment very well.  Can you tell me in simpler terms and methods how to track down the problem, or, can you tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?       **there's no fuse or relay   marked: "fuel pump" on my car**
