Isuzu Repair: 1997 Izusu Rodeo 6cyl starting problem, excessive corrosion, battery cables

Question
Hi Daniel I cant get my Rodeo started,I've checked the starter
and it is till working properly but it seems to really struggle to turn the motor over. Not as fast as it should be.
like it being held back by the motor itself.Any suggestions?
Because I'm stumped

Answer
Well I would start by having your battery tested as well as your battery cables. If they are stiff or hard or the battery posts have excessive corrosion on them that is a bad sign Mike. Also the chraging system needs to be operating properly as to charge the battery. As for the struggling you may have vapor locked your motor(not likely but a possibility) I would say it is a starting system issue most likely. If you need anything else though please let me know. Sorry for the delay.
