Hi, my engine is running rich and after driving it a while, it starts to cut out; I then have to feather the gas to get it to accelerate. The check engine light will intermittently come also when this is happening. I am only getting about 12 MPG.

Well this sounds like a TPS sensor or even an 02 sensor problem Chuck. The 02 sensors measure your exhaust an determine how much fuel and air it needs to run correctly. I would also check my catylitic convertors for any faults as well. You can smack them very firmly with a rubber mallet and if they rattle and clank about inside, they need to be replaced. Autozone checks any OBDI systems for free as well.
