Isuzu Repair: 1994 Isuzu Trooper, isuzu trooper, dash area

Question
QUESTION: Recently my trooper alarm had started going off randomly, including while driving. I no longer have the remotes to the car, only the keys. Now the alarm has managed to kill the ignition switch and the car won't start. How do I rectify this?

Thank you,

Aileen

ANSWER: try unhooking your battery for 30 seconds to try and reset the entire system. If this does not work easiest thing to do is take it to a audio shop that knows what they are doing okay?

QUESTION: Thank you for your advice. I already tried the obvious, I unhooked the battery and reconnected. I'd love to take to an audio shop - but the alarm killed the ignition switch and it will not start. Don't let me being a female direct you to sending me to a shop. I am well equipped. Please advise altnernate so I can get my mode of transportation started.

Thanks for your help!

Answer
well Aileen This problem has even baffled Isuzu. Although being a female has nothing to do with it. Here is an alternative though.

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
yellow/blue |-| Located in the
drivers kick in a white plug.
Trigger the power unlock and the factory alarm
disarm wires at the same time to disarm the alarm.

Once Located, splice into either wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.

Now you have both ways
to solve this one.

Have a good day
