Isuzu Repair: 96 trooper, dash lights, trans fluid

Question
I have a 96 trooper with a 3.2 auto trans. I have multiple problems. 1st the transmission shifts hard. It does not slip just shifts hard. I have no dash lights & the battery dies when the vehicle sits. It has 110k on it I have replaced the battery & changed the trans fluid. Any ideas?

Answer
Well Kerry. Isuzu's are know for their crappy transmissions. I would have your transmission flushed, actually flushed and have a new filter installed with some anti shudder put in for your torque-convertor. Also your lights are probably due to a broken wire behind your instrument panel or more possibly a blown bulb/s. The dead battery ordeal means you have what they call a phantom drain or a short where your battery is slowly being drained by a source that is not supposed to be on or is shorted out. If this is not helping you though let me know and we will go from here okay?
