Isuzu Repair: 2000 Rodeo maintenance, fuel injection system, maintenance question

Question
QUESTION: my rodeo has 90,000 miles on it and i need for 150,000 miles.  what basic maintenance should i do to keep it running fine?  been told flush tranny, lube axles, replace o2 sensor, replace egr valve, lube chassis.  should this be done or is there other things that should be done?  thanks

ANSWER: Well Jay that is very good advice. Aso to replace is spark plugs, fuel filter, have your fuel injection system cleaned(for around 45.00) and also check your throttle body and run some Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. I have seen people do all these things on vehicles and actually got about 350,000 miles out of a Rodeo before. Any other needed advice and I am here. It sounds like you know what your talking about too. Have a great evening Jay.

QUESTION: i am getting my transmission flushed or drained tomorrow.  have seen where not recommended to flush but just drain. thoughts?  also, car is running fine so i think i will just change tranny fluid and spark plugs.  will spark plugs show dirty fuel injection?  if so, should i clean fuel injection?  thanks again

Answer
Well I would highly highly recommend having a flush done. Also The spark plugs if they are very clean, then yes, just replace them. If they have any black sooty deposits, then have your system cleaned. I had my transmission flushed and it never ever messed up one me. I had a 1999 LSE 2wd custom and it was a nice ride other than having to fix A/C, intake gaskets, Fuel level sending unit and other stupid problems on Isuzu's.
