Isuzu Repair: 2003 Isuzu Rodeo Immobilizer Stuck, obdii scanner, isuzu rodeo

Hi, My friend's '03 Rodeo will not turn over and the immobilizer icon is illuminated on the dash.  He has tried the reset sequence in the owner's manual, has tried starting with a different key, and has tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, all to no avail.  Is there a known reset sequence for this situation, or can you recommend any components we can test that may have failed and triggered this condition?  Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Well I assume the immobilizer icon has to do with the alarm system. I would recommend having the code pulled using a OBDII scanner and having the pcm completely reset. I have seen batteries go dead and it sets this off or the pcm is faulty. Has somebody tampered with anything on the car while the alarm was activated? The Isuzu dealership should reset it for under 45.00 I will do some more research tonight and find more information to help you okay?
