Isuzu Repair: 1998rodeo, isuzu engine, havoline

Question
I have a noise in the motor,It eems to be a tapping in the low end.I polled the oil pan and was going to replace the rob bearings.I was stopped dead in my tracks when i seen the balancer. Is this a dificult repair or costly.any  info appreciated   Thanks Fred

Answer
Well Fred. I would strongly advise not touching any engine componants. The tapping is most likely a lifter or an indication of low oil. I would recommend having a lubrication flush and clean as well as a good quality oil such as castrol, havoline, or valvoline put in. I have seen people dissasemble an Isuzu engine and have it seize up two weeks later due to their complexity and precision. They are in no way like an old 350 or 302 motor.
