Isuzu Repair: hot floorboard, exhaust temperatures, floorboard

I have a 99 Rodeo LS and recently the front passenger floorboard is getting really warm. don't want to keep your bare feet on it too long... I don't think this is normal but I have no idea what the problem could be. Thank you

Well Lynda, maybe it's not so bad, you could get your breakfast cooked and drive to work!lol. my first guess would be an exhaust leak, hitting the floorboard, causing high heat, clogged catylitic converter or exhaust causing excessively hot exhaust temperatures, or your floorboard cloth heatshield could be bad, these are a few suggestions, anymore help and im here for ya!!
