Isuzu Repair: 1999 Isuzu Rodeo wont start, isuzu rodeo, gas gauge

Question
I started my car fine this morning and then it shut down and I thught I ran out
of gas.  This has happened once or twice before because the gas gauge is
broken.  However, I put about 5 gallons of gas in the car and it wont star.  At
first the engine turned on and turned off.  When I turn the inginition the car
will begin to start and shut down.  It is not the alternater and I am going to
check the battery but do you have any ideas?  I dont know if a belt came off
or what.  Thank you Jen

Answer
Hi Jennifer, well I have some realy good news and some realy good news! Your fuel sending unit is bad on your fuel pump. Easily fixed.(llok on ebay for your make and model for this part ok) I am 150% positive. When you ran out of gas, you built up alot of air in your fuel lines. Allow the fuel pump to runn for a few cycles without actually turning the motor. Then let it run once more, while doing this press down on the fuel pressure release and wait until you don't hear anymore air. MAKE SURE TO HAVE A RAG TOO!! This should fix your problem, but im here if you need more help ok?
