Jaguar Repair: window power, thermal breakers, fuse panel

Question
QUESTION: Hello I have a 1982 Jag XJ6 I recently put down one window suddenly no windows move up or down or sunroof.  No power to any.  I have tried to but cannot locate or identify relay if thats what I need if you could help me with any instuction or pics greatly appreciated thank you

ANSWER: Hi Jim,
You didn't accidently turn the master switch off on the console?
If not the relay (round) is up high on the right side of the Aux fuse panel. The two thermal breakers are on the lower right of the same fuse panel. I have a wiring diagram of the window circuit on my web site.

QUESTION: Please disregard last question i have located the relay and there is power to the relay but how do I test the relay to see if power is going through.  Should it make some noise when pressing switches or maybe press switch and test some other location.  Thank you for your help

Answer
Hi Jim,
The relay is a standard four pin 12v relay and can be bench tested. Pin number 85 and 86 are the electromagnet and number 30/51 is power in and 87 is load (windows)

Connect a 12v battery across 85 and 86 and the relay should click and connect 30/51 to 87
