Jaguar Repair: catlitat comverter, r134, o2 sensor

me howard if acatlated converter is gutted will o2 senser operate in same manner. ps// is there a nother freon u can get except r134 or r12 to use in 85 xj6 u// can get without being lichan.

Hi Jim,
The O2 sensor is before the first CAT so It would operate as normal. The O2 sensor is a minor adjustment to mixture.

You should not use 134 in the Series III car, only use R-12 or any of the other gasses. I have used several of the Propane based gases and they all work much better than R-12.
