Jaguar Repair: 1985 xj6 complete window failure, test light, electrical problem

Mr. Fitzcharles,  I just bought a 1985 xj6. It has been stored for 8 years. I can't seem to find the fuse for the  whole power window system. Or could it be something else?

Hi David,
The fuse is a thermal breaker and it automatically resets but that too can fail so the only method to correct any electrical problem is to test.

You will need a 12v test light or a volt meter. Go to my web site where I put a diagram of the window system and use your test light to locate the problem.
