Jaguar Repair: Jaguar Engine Rebuild, xk 120, jaguar engine

Question
Hello, I live in Brentwood and have several Jaguar projects going on at this time.  My top priority concerns my 1951 XK 120 Roadster.  The car is complete and all original but hasn't been started in over 20 years. I am curently working on lifting the body off the chassis and can handle rebuilding of all of the suspension, etc. under the car.  What I am looking for is a reputable shop or person in the Nashville area that I can take the engine and transmission to for a going over.  I want to get it running but want to retain all of the original parts if possible.  Is this something of interest to you or can you recommend someone in the area?  I also have a 1956 XK 140 and a 1976 XJS along with assorted Triumphs, MG's, and a Morgan to work on as well, but first things first.  Thanks for the help.

Answer
Hi Bill,
I would have been interested 20 years ago but I am retired now and I have too many projects of my own to do. I can recommend someone in Nashville. It is JD's British Cars at 313 Wilhagan Rd. in Nashville.
Phone is 361-3887. JD is very skilled and has a nice well equipped shop. JD specializes in rebuilds and restorations of British cars. If JD does not want to work on the "S" let me know and I will give you an XJ-S specialist. You can tell JD I referred you to him. Is the 120 red and did you purchase it from a man names Evans?
