QUESTION: when we turn on the headlights the instrument panel goes dark . we used to be able to giggle it and it would light up but that doesn't work anymore.how do we ftx it?,please.

ANSWER: It sounds like the dimmer switch may have gone bad.. When you turn the lights off does it come back on? if so consider starting at the dimmer switch and moving from there.. they do go bad sometimes... Really sounds like you may have had a loose wire and it finally broke off or something. start removing the dash panels and take the instrament cluster out and look for things that just dont look right, I think its going to be in the dimmer switch, located to the left of the steering wheel,  Hope this helps

QUESTION: we got the first panel off. the wood grain looking one. how do you remove the other ones?

some are defferent than others. start with the one under the steering wheel, this should just pop off. May have 3 philips head screws on the under side of it holding it in. take that off and then you should see 2 more screws one the right and left of the steering wheel. Just start removing until you have that dimmer swich in your hand. Good luck
