Jeep Repair: Instruction On Replacing Timing Chain Cover On 2000 4.7 v8, jeep grand cherokee, jeep grand cherokee limited

Question
I have been putting off replacing the timing chain cover on my gf's 2000 jeep grand Cherokee limited w4.7 v8. It all started with a pin sized hole, {on the aluminum (i'm guessing) right where the thermostat sits next to thermostat housing} squirting coolant out at a high pressure,  I put some 2part epoxy over it which stopped it for a few months. Then it Started leaking a bit worse and was very soft to the touch. I then realized it was the timing chain cover i needed to replace. So i j&b welded it to buy me some more time and now its that time! My girl had some nitwit work on it at which time he was asked to fix the leak so he replaced the water pump. THANKS BUT?     If you would please tell me if im replacing the right part and give me some instructions on replacing the timing cover I would be BEYOND appreciative.
