Jeep Repair: 1997 Jeep Cherokee manual window adjustment., jeep cherokee, problemo

I have the above 1997 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0L, and the problem is, when I lower the manual window all the way down, the handle rubs against my leg as I'm driving. In the "up" position, no problemo. But all the way down, it's right there! Very irritating! I suppose I could just go and try to pry the handle off and see if there's a notched adjustment I can make, but thought I'd ask here first!

there is a c clip on the back of the handle. I use a tool just for that to remove it  but u can use a rag  to get back there like a wedge and pop it out. The trick is not to let it fly away when u get it loose  it will be spring loaded and they get lost easy if u dont have your hand on the other end when u get it to release.
