Jeep Repair: sun roof, jeep grand cherokee, sun visors

Question
i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee the sun roof is open and i cant get it shut. the fuse seems to be ok. is there a manual way to shut it, the auto adjust seats are not working also, are the fused together

Answer
the manual way to shut it to to remove the motor and then u can move the glass back into close pos  U will haft to be careful not to brake anything on the slider and such. U might not also be able to put the motor back back in because of the motor stuck in an open pos.  Once u have it closed we can work on what failed after that.   U can also tap on the motor b4 u take it out to see if its just a bad motor.

SUNROOF DRIVE MOTOR
REMOVAL
NOTE: The sunroof system is timed from the factory so that the motor shuts off automatically when the sunroof window reaches a certain position. Extreme care must be taken when removing the motor, timing may be thrown off causing possible damage to the sunroof system. Anytime the motor is removed from the sunroof assembly the sunroof glass panel must be in the FULLY CLOSED POSITION or the unit will be out of timing. The drive motor cannot be reset to the park position after being removed.

CAUTION: The sunroof motor should only be powered through the vehicle battery and sunroof wire harness. Applying power to the sunroof motor leads will cause failure of the control module.

Move glass panel to the fully closed position.
Remove A,B,C, and D-pillar trim, sun visors, and map lamps/mini console.
Disconnect the control switch wire connector.
Remove headliner as necessary to gain access to sunroof drive motor. Refer to Headliner Removal and Installation for proper procedures.
Disconnect the drive motor wire harness connectors Sunroof Drive Motor and Express Module
Remove drive motor fasteners and remove motor from the sunroof housing
