Jeep Repair: 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade 3.6L V6 (Hot and Cold selector Switch has fliped), jeep liberty renegade, engine cooling system

Question
I first detected this problem when my Liberty failed to blow hot air out on a chilly night last week. At first I thought it was the thermostat (doesnt everyone). After further investigation the situation had nothing to do with the thermostat nor the engine cooling system at all. I discovered that when the temperature nob was turned to the cold (blue) setting the air coming out of the vents was actually warm! Be it not hot but it still was much much warmer than when the controller was set to warm (red). After searching service bulletins I found a bulletin that was dealing with a software issue but my Liberty was made in October and the bulletin was for models begining in November. Well just to make sure they didnt mess up (not like that has not happened before right?!) I had my friend who runs his own shop run the software upgrade but we had no sucess. After further brainstorming we have landed on the actuator on the heat door. Which lies underneath the dash...way underneath. After that we have no idea, so instead of tearing apart and asking questions later I am researching the problem on the interent and ran across the All Experts website and was hoping you could help me out. I would much appreciate any help you can throw my way.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
-Vinnie

Answer
there is no software update for that TSB  its just a recal of the motors and such. Did u try it and did not work?   the motor is only an end result of what the control does  so if its switches  then  I doubt its a motor  I would say more or less a control head issue first.
