Jeep Repair: turning on a dime, wheel drive vehicles, four wheel drive vehicles

Hi I every time I Try to turn on a dime in my 98 Jeep Wrangler there is sort of a grinding sound. I was wondering if you could
help me out.

It's normal with four wheel drive vehicles especially in four wheel drive.  One tire is trying to move over more ground than the other but the axles are turning at the same speed.  It should hop also.  If it's doing it, you know your four wheel drive is working correctly, if not, something is wrong.
