Jeep Repair: fuel filter replacement, jeep grand cherokee, jeep grand cherokee limited

Question
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 V8.  I went to replace the fuel filter that has three ends coming out of it.  I could see on the end with the single spout that I press the tabs together and put the line off and on the largest end out, the same thing, press ends in and pull line out.  However on the small stub out about the largest stub out on the filter, there is a plastic ring that I can rotate all around but see no tabs to press in to remove the line.  With no tabs to push in like the others, what is the method to remove this line?  Do I push the ring in and pull or pull the ring out and pull the line?  It is not really obvious to me at this point.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
u know u would need to replace the whole fuel pump inorder to repalce any filter?? This is not like an old jeep where there are inline fuel filters and such.

Both fuel filters (at bottom of fuel pump module and within fuel pressure regulator) are designed for extended service. They do not require normal scheduled maintenance. Filters should only be replaced if a diagnostic procedure indicates to do so.
