Jeep Repair: 1999 Jeep Cherokee steering column ignition switch, jeep cherokee, accurate diagnosis

1999 Jeep Cherokee key won't turn in key switch located on steering column; and the front wheels are locked up; and the automatic shifter won't move. How do I get my key to turn in the steering column ignition switch to release the wheels and shifter?

I would take this to a repair shop to have it serviced. It looks as if the cylinder may be damaged. Unfortunately, I do not have your car in front of me so I am unable to give you an accurate diagnosis. Sometimes it's just the tumble or it could be the whole switch assembly. Sorry I could not be of further help.
