Jeep Repair: how to?, jeep wrangler, lock cylinder

so i have a 97 jeep wrangler and im trying to replace the lock assembly in the center console. instead of buying the entire assembly i got just the part that was broken. i need to get the lock itself out of the casing and am having a difficult time doing so. if you could tell me how i might be able to get it out of the casing that would be a great help.

CONSOLE LOCK CYLINDER
REMOVAL
Open the console cover.
Remove the screw that attaches the retainer to the lock and then remove the retainer from the lock Console Lock Cylinder
Remove the lock cylinder from the console cover.
INSTALLATION
Insert the assembled lock in the console cover hole and position the retainer on the lock and install the screw.
