Question
i have a 99 grand Cherokee v8 when i turn on the key the gauges go crazy and she cranks for a while b4 starting  then if i let go of the gas pedal she dies instantly  has no idle  last time this happened 5 months ago i was told replace battery which i did now with a new battery doing it again  HELP???

Answer
It does sound like you have a problem with the battery.  These jeeps have to be driven after the battery has been disconnected or low for a while, after it is driven it will go through a relearn process and will start to idle.  I would replace the battery with a good one like an Interstate, never use an advance auto parts or walmart battery.  Also have your alternator checked, make sure its putting out proper voltage.
