Jeep Repair: Serpintine Belt Replacement, power steering pump, jeep cherokee

Question
Do I need to loosen the power steering pump or the alternator in order to get enough slack to replace the belt on a 1988 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer?
I tried to loosen the power steering pump but could not get it to move.  I don't have a repair manual for this vehicle that shows which bolts to loosen.  I found three but pump would not move.

Answer
You need to move the power steering pump.  There is a bolt on the back side, it maybe the one you need to loosen.  You have to use a wrench to get to that bolt.  On the front of the pump at the bottom there is an adjuster bolt.  You have to loosen another bolt here, then the adjuster can be turned.  Hope I could help you!
