RV Repair: Jalousie window crank replacement, window cranks, ventline

Question
I have an '89 Prowler and several of the window cranks do not work properly.  It is quite possible that the cranks are stripped and that I need to replace them.  The name Philips 3000 is stamped on the jalousie mechanism and I cannot find anything referring to Philips on the internet.  Can you give me instructions on how to remove the crank (and bar going into the crank) so that I can replace them.  I have removed the screws from the brackets on either end of the bar but it still will not come out.  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Answer
Hi Polly:
The bar comes out when you open the window all the way through a slot in the bottom of the window slide. I have not heard of Phillips window hardware but I am sure somebody makes a replacement. The ones I stock are made by Ventline at www.ventline.com.
